It took 13 days to read this book. "The 6:20 Man" by David Baldacci that was published in 2022 gets only 3 stars out of 5 from me. It was groundhog day with the main character taking a train, day in and day out. It got too predictable. If you have a book that you've been wanting to read, read that book and leave "The 6:20 Man" for when you got nothing better to read. It was an easy and monotonous read.

The River (Hardcover, 2019, Knopf) 3 stars

I was sorely disappointed by this book. The whole premise of the book interests me greatly so I figured I would enjoy it. I didn't.
Even with very few characters in the novel, the author didn't do a good job developing some of them.
The author included too many "flashbacks" in the book and some didn't seem necessary.
I rated it a 3 star but I'm being generous with that rating.

This is a very good book with excellent character development. The storyline is plausible and so are the characters. Note: The author uses adult words, not swear words. In other words, I used the dictionary probably 25 times while reading this book.

You should think about reading this trilogy

This was a good book and I plan on reading the trilogy. Understand this is an "adult book" in that the author uses words not normally used in fiction. I read this on an ebook reader and used the "definition" feature of the app quite often. It will expand the normal reader's vocabulary in my opinion.

The author also uses a lot of acronyms that challenged my memory a little too often. Matthews could spell out these acronyms more often.
